Anubias barteri 'Broad Leaf' is a variant of the wild-type barteri but with wide, heart-shaped leaves. This plant produces great cover for smaller fish or shrimp. Broad leaf is one of the earliest commercially available Barteri types. Since then, cultivators have produced A. barteri with textured leaves, new leaf shapes, and marbled colors. If you're looking for a miniature version of this plant, try "Nana" or "Petite."
Tie Anubias barteri 'Broad Leaf" to driftwood, stones, or other decorations. Do not bury the rhizome (root portion) into the substrate. This is a slow-growing plant that does not require CO2 or high light in the freshwater planted aquarium aquascape.
