Anubias Nana is probably the most popular of all aquatic aquarium plants. This variant is one of the original cultivars to be produced from the wild-type Anubias barteri and quickly established itself in the freshwater planted aquarium tank because it's easy to grow and can form dense growth with medium-sized, teardrop shaped leaves. Anubias Nana is also available in a "Golden" form (see Anubias Golden). For optimal growth, provide A. nana with medium to low lighting and gentle water movement. CO2 is not required. Potted plants are grown without soil in rockwool media. The rockwool media allows the plants to grow in a clean, soil-free environment, ready to ship. To prepare your plant for the aquarium, first gently remove the pot and peel away the rockwool media. Tie the Anubias to an anchor (soaked driftwood, stone, or other decoration item.
