Alternanthera reineckii is the classic "red" aquarium plant. The "Bronze" variant is suitable for all sizes of aquariums, but is named so for its unique bronze coloration on the top surface of the leaves. Cultivators of A. reineckii have produced various versions of this aquarium plant that include "Broad leaf," "Rosaefolia," "Rosanervig" and more. This plant is easily propagated by cutting across the stem and replanting the tops. Alternanthera reineckii Bronze is maintained by frequent trimmings once the plant is established in the freshwater aquarium. Each bunch contains 5-8 individual stems. For best growth, we recommend CO2 supplementation for this plant.
