Alternanthera reineckii is the classic "red" aquarium plant. It's suitable for middle regions or backgrounds in smaller freshwater planted aquariums. Cultivators of A. reineckii have produced various versions of this aquarium plant that include "Broad leaf," "Rosaefolia," "Mini," "Rosanervig" and more. This plant is easily propagated by cutting across the stem and replanting the tops. Each bunch contains 5-8 individual stems. For best growth, we recommend CO2 supplementation for this plant.
