Anubias barteri is one of the most important plants to the planted aquarium hobby. Not only has barteri given us 'coffeefolia,' 'butterfly,' 'coin leaf,' and other unique variants, but it's also the "ancestor" of all of the 'nana' varieties available today. Without barteri, we'd have none of the wild 'petite,' 'pinto,' or 'marble' Anubias we now have today.
Anubias barteri is an epiphyte and does best when tied to driftwood or stones. This is a slow-growing plant that does not require CO2 or high light.
